The young are passionate, quick to anger, and apt to give way to it. And their angry passions get the better of them; for, since they wish to be honored, young men cannot put up with a slight; they are resentful if they only imagine that they are unfairly treated. Fond of honor, they are even fonder of victory, for youth likes to be superior, and winning evinces superiority. They love both honor and victory more than they love money. Indeed, they care next to nothing about money, for they have not yet learned what the want of it means […] The young think no evil, but believe in human goodness, for as yet they have not seen many examples of vice. They are trustful, for as yet they have not been often deceived.

I had another post queued up, but a note resonated in line with the last post, and I thought I’d build off of it.
You see, when we’re a nation of slaves, that means there’s a Crown lying on every corner.
Literally, every corner there’s an earl waiting to be made. A city, a duke. A state, a baron.
Baron Abbot is flexing his muscles right now.
But, on to the personal. In response I noted the following:
“Tons of young men waiting just for a leader. How many of them care about things boomers do? How many millenials and gen x do? If the right one came along and said, “Lets burn it all down, and start over!” how many would say, “I’m with you, my liege!”
Entitlements. Gone.
Wars across seas. Gone.
Student debts. Gone.
Central Banks. Gone.
Borders - Yes.
Real trials - Yes.
They’re making a prison for us, and we’re about ready to break some chains.”
The reason I say this is because we’ve done the dangerous.
As the opening quote states, the young don’t know the value of money.
They’re rash.
Idealistic.
And prefer honor and victory to money.
They literally know what the want of it means, as they have had their means provided for.
And now, we have painfully, forced them to learn.
And told them they will never have a shot to have money
And never given them a victory
And never given them honor
Or their due.
And lied to them
Deceived them
And told them they’re idiots for believing any of the lies, deceits, and tricks pulled to better the aging, dying, grasping older generation that was supposed to look out for them.
And so, now they want victory, honor, AND money.
How is that going to work out for us?
Do we really want to continue down that path?
Or should we tear it down now?
All their mistakes are on the side of intensity and excess, running counter to the maxim of Chilon [‘Moderation in all things’]. They carry everything to far: they love to excess, they hate to excess - and so in all else. They think they know everything, and are positive about everything; indeed, this is why they always carry their doings too far.

Great post!
I agree totally. The younger generation is realizing that there is little to no future under the system that their parents grew up under, and "mostly" lived through. I'm 43-years-old, and I don't expect to retire. I don't think it will be possible.
As for my kids, I don't really know about their future either. The best I think anyone can do is raise their children to understand how these things came about, and how most people really had no idea what was going on. It's not an excuse for the ball being dropped. Everything within the current system was designed to keep people busy, and looking the other way.
The system was/is designed to choke people out over a very long period of time, so as they won't even notice their lack of breath (in this case financial position).
Literally the ENTIRE system was and is designed to screw people over at all levels. This is made evident by our progressive tax system. It is 100% designed to keep people from becoming wealthy. Those who break free do it though capital gains usually, because that's the only way to make the big money, and not be taxed back down 3-levels.
I've known these things for a long time, but I've never really known what to do about it. That is, other than let people know what's going on. Because no matter what the eventual solution is -- it must start with people understanding the current situation.
